Tigi Bed Head Control Freak Range
Tigi Bed Head Control Freak Serum & Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener
I thought I’d take a moment to tell you guys about the one thing (okay two things) I have used on may hair religiously for many years. I got these products free with my GHD’s back in 2008, and have been repurchasing them ever since!
Used together, the Control Freak Serum and the Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener (what a mouthful) actually manage to keep my hair straight for several days without the need to straighten it again. Sometimes I don’t even need to straighten at all after blow drying, as it is already so straight. This really helps to limit the amount of heat I use on my hair, as well as saving me time, and bad hair days.
I simply put a dollop of the serum in my hands, and work it through my lengths, and then spray a palm full of the hair straightener and run that through on top, then add my other products like leave in sprays and heat protector, and blow dry as usual.
There is such a huge difference between times when I use this, and if I skip it. Without it, my hair develops this delightful ‘not wavy, but not straight, and generally just bent in weird directions’ look, which I am obviously not a fan of.
The other day I wore my hair up in a pony tail all day, and after taking it down it had that attractive kink in it. I simply left it down and went to bed, and woke up with perfectly straight hair again!
I highly recommend this if you have trouble with keeping your hair tamed between washes or are trying to reduce the amount of heat damage it takes.
The serum is very easy to find, and you can snap it up from Feelunique here. The Extra Extra Straight Hair Straightener has sadly started to disappear from the face of the earth, and I have only ever been able to find it shipped in from Amazon via the States. I have no idea why nowhere sells it anymore, because it’s a great product, so I’m forever hunting it down and stockpiling it. If you can get your hands on it, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try, but if you can’t find it the serum does still make a difference on it’s own.
Do you have any products that help keep your hair straight? I’d love to know your alternatives, also be sure to let me know if you’ve tried either of these!
