Empties #1

Here is a quick run down of the products I’ve finished last month, some of these are firm favourites of mine!

Batiste Dry Shampoo – We all know by now that I love Batiste. I go through this stuff like crazy, this wasn’t actually the only bottle I used up last month! I loved the smell of Lace, and don’t even get me started on the packaging! I wrote a full Batiste dry shampoo review if you want to read more about how I feel about the brand.

Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle – This stuff is AMAZING. I like a lot of volume, and my hair is naturally so flat and boring, but I hate damaging it by actually backcombing it. I spray this into my roots, and then just kind of ruffle my hair up. It definitely gives it a huge boost, and it smells absolutely gorgeous. I like to stock up on this when Boots do haircare offers because of how fast I go through it. It’s £5.61 a bottle, which isn’t too unreasonable, but I use it almost every day!

Head & Shoulders Volume Boost Shampoo – I bought this after I had an incident with a Lush solid shampoo that caused my hair to start falling out and gave me an admittely mild case of dandruff! This definitely helped to clear up the dandruff, and my hair stopped falling out once I stopped using the solid shampoo (I’ve never had a problem with any other Lush products, I guess my hair just didn’t like this particular shampoo!). I just used this up last month because I had quite a few different shampoos in there and wanted to make room. I probably won’t buy it again unless I need to strip my hair colour, or I get dandruff again, but it was cheap and cheerful and it smells quite nice. I just have other shampoos that I like better!

Lee Stafford Hair Treatment For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length – I absolutely love this hair treatment, and I’ve been using it for about 2 years now. It makes my hair feel amazingly soft, and I notice that when I use it I shed less hair when I give it a brush through, and I imagine that less breakage is one of the keys to hair growth! In terms of how quickly my hair grows, it does grow pretty fast, and this really improves the condition of my hair! This is another one that I stock up on when Boots do 3 for 2, and it s at £7.99.

Soap And Glory No Clogs Allowed Deep Pore Detox Mask – I quite liked this face mask, and I did find that it helped my skin. I also really enjoyed that it warms up on your face! My only gripe with it is that you have to be really really careful that you scrub it lots before leaving it, to break down the beads, otherwise you end up with green dots on your face which are REALLY hard to wash off. This was £11 from Boots, and I do quite like it, but I find that the Lush Mask of Magnaminty is better for my breakouts, and also cheaper, so I’m not sure if I’ll be buying it again.

L’Oreal Absolute Eye And Lip Make-up Remover – This stuff is amazing. I haven’t so much as tried another eye makeup remover since I discovered this. I always wear waterproof mascara (post on my favourite waterproof mascara coming soon), and this takes it off with no fuss. I was a bit put off trying out waterproof formulas because I read a lot of complaints about how difficult they are to remove, but this tackles any waterproof makeup so easily. It retails at £4.99 (although Boots have it on offer at £3.33 at the moment).

Gillette Venus Proskin Sensitive Disposibles – These are like disposable versions of the fancy razors with eable heads. They have 5 blades, and those moisture strips, and you get 3 in a pack for £6.99. Honestly I’m not sure whether it’s better value for money to buy these or have one razor and buy the heads, but they do the job, and I like to throw things away, I’m a bit funny about keeping things in my shower for a long time.

China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat – I am on my second bottle of this basecoat now, and I’m very happy with it! My nail polish definitely lasts with no chips for up to two weeks (I’ve never really lasted longer than that without my nails growing out a lot, or me getting bored and wanting a change of polish!). This is £8.50 or there abouts, and I think it’s worth every penny.

Sally Hansen Insta-dri Top Coat – This is my favourite top coat ever. It dries SO fast, which is really handy because the main thing which puts me off doing my nails sometimes is the drying time. It also probably helps with the whole no chips thing, and it’s also amazingly shiny! I rebuy this endlessly, and can’t see myself being without it. This is £5.99, which I think is pretty cheap.
